Bottom line: Very few Jersey Shore beaches are open to dogs, but Wildwood is an exception. If the massive, red fire hydrant wasn't a hint, the cavorting canines definitely are. Bottom line: Coronado Dog Beach is one of the best dog beaches in California. That's really saying something because there are a lot. The western section of this beach, which is clearly marked, is totally leash-free all year long. The views from the beach are gorgeous.
The only downside is finding parking and bathrooms. Both are hard to find, and dog owners are cautioned not to let their dogs off-leash until arriving at the beach. On the trek through the city from the parking lot, unleashed dogs may be subject to fines. No thanks!
7. Gulfside City Park

Fortunately, there are free doggie bag dispensers in multiple locations along the water. Any leftover presents are cleaned up by monthly volunteers.
One important note: Jellyfish live in the waters off Jupiter Beach, and sea lice can also be problematic. Keep an eye out for jellyfish, and brush up on dog care beach tips just in case your dog runs into one of the tentacled see pancakes.
